Cats vs PSU

Short blog today as I am heading to the center of the universe.

The Cats have PSU in Portland tomorrow.  The Cats will be a little healthier than last week.  Not a lot to report here.  MSU can win out and have a decent shot of going to the playoffs but one loss in the next three sinks any chance of playing after Thanksgiving.

The griz all but sewed up there 370th consecutive conference title last week with a dominating performance against Weber State.  Hmmm, maybe Weber was just a one-hit wonder last year.  The griz and there gay flamboyant head coach will coast until November 21st when the dark pink invades Reno H. Sales Stadium for the 109th "Brawl of the Wild".  The girz are rolling right now.  The only edge I give the Cats is home field.  Maybe rushing defense but that's it.  One thing though, in a rivalry, anything can happen.

ND could still lose two more games this year.  U Conn and Stanford will give Coach Largepants all he can handle.  You can watch this entire scene from the 1979 classic Meatballs or just skip to the 2:24 mark for the reference.

Malta lost in the first round.  I'm seriously worried about the Earth imploding.  The first round? Really? "And then depression set in."  This blog with the youtube thing is really starting to take off. "Talk about massive potential for growth!"  Rated R for nudity.  1:56 mark for the reference.

Have a good weekend.

Tuesday tunes

I kind of expanded my musical spectrum today. Spent the day listening to Pandora on a station I made myself for a different musical list. I actually started doing this in my truck on XM Radio but haven't spent enough time driving to make a good list.

Anyway, without further ado, here's a playlist of a bunch of different bands and artists that sound pretty similar but are good nonetheless.  Except for the females that is.

Heading to Malta tomorrow afternoon with brother Bill.  Going to see Ma before she goes to AZ for the winter.  I'll try to take some pics and get some videos footage even.

He's just too short

So Tom Cruise dropped out of the filming of the new action movie  Salt and was replaced by......ANGELINA JOLIE!!!!!!  Now, I don't care who you are.  If you are supposed to be great, a superstar in your profession, and you dropped out and are replaced by a chick, well sir, you just aren't all that.  The good news for me is that I will probably go see this movie now.  The good news for the studio is that this movie will probably make money as opposed to other Cruise movies.  Well, there's always midget wrestling.

Now, if I could only get the flipping "jump" thing to work, I'd be a happy blogger.

Some light reading

Its always time to talk politics here at Crown on the Rocks.  So I went out and found some light reading.

First an article by Byron York about the coming divide in the Democratic party.  The thing that is interesting to me is that if far left loons, are there any other kind, keep pushing moderate/conservative Dems out, where will they go?  Don't buy into the notion being presented by the MSM about a divide in the Republican Party.  GWB took hold of the party when he was in office.  He ran on the right and governed in the middle just like his dad.  He was better at it than his father so he was able to stay for two terms, but lets not call him a conservative. I never have and never will.  He did manage to keep the conservatives from power within the party and that's where the division came from.  Now that he is back in Crawford enjoying his retirement, the moderate establishment is being taken to task for their poorly ran campaigns of 2008.

Make no mistakes, conservative Republicans will be back in force in '10.  And let this be a word to the wise, if you run as a conservative, you'd better damn sure vote as one.  Last night's elections show that this country is already weary of Barry.  If he continues down this communist/socialist path, his demise is all but ensured.  The damage he can do along the way though will be irreparable.  We must hope that health care and cap and trade both go down in flames.

At The Daily Beast there is a nice article by Matt Latimer, a former speech writer for GWB and D. Rumsfeld. It's about how Rush and the others didn't have the ear of the last administration as much as people like to believe.  Maybe if they had, we'd be in better shape.

Here's an article about tipping that is pretty good.  Goes along with the  scene from Reservoir Dogs (I didn't want to post the scene up directly so I just gave the link.  Rated "R" for strong language and sexual content but I like how Tarantino writes.

I wonder if Barry is worried

Hmmm.  The people of Virginia and New Jersey have spoken and spoken loudly.  The people of up state New York squeeked one out but the voices of true conservatives were still heard.

Over at American Thinker there is a great article about the results and what they mean.

I wonder how Obamaclause is taking this.

Climate debate part 1 and 2

Now that I don't have to do any real blogging anymore, I'll let Lou Dobbs do some stuff for me.  Here is part one of an "expose" on Algore's piece of crap film.  Here's a little nugget for you.  Algore never made more than a million dollars before his defeat in 2000.  He is now about to become a carbon billionaire.  I'll see if I can find that clip from his testimony on Capitol Hill.

Part One

Part Two

Man bear pig, it will destroy us all

By George, I think I've got it.

Alright, so I'm not a complete computer idiot but I do need help once in a while.  I've been wanting to be able to post videos to my blog for awhile now.  I asked computer genius BG for assistance and she did not want to be a willing particpant, not that anyone can blame her.  I decided to take the bull by the horns and see if I could figure this out by my lonesome.

After messing with the tool bar for what seemed like hours, I decided to break down and click the "help" icon.  Hmmm, aah, here it is, "how do I post a video to my blog from YouTube?"  You're shitting me?  It's that easy? Well, I guess it is the 21st century.

I really didn't know what to post for my first video so I went for a live performance of the greatest country song ever.

There were also updates on some other stuff. I've also been trying to figure out how make the strikethrough thing work.  You know, so I can say something sarcastic I mean relevent and make it even funnier.  And the they have a jump break.  Blogging just keeps getting cooler and cooler.

This blog just might turn into something now.  Only one thing, where in the hell did the spell checker go?
