Welcome back to Movie Clip Wednesday. The Boxer inspired meme where you come here to see what the theme is, find a clip of about three minutes, come back here to say "you're up" and then we'll come and visit and give you our two bits. This week's theme is "Favorite British Comedy" a suggestion from Moi.
I'm not gonna lie, I've had better weeks. It's like someone cut the artery to my ambition and that it's pumping out of me in a fast way. Just got nothin. Add that to the sadness I feel for both Chickory and Aunty Belle and well, I'm hoping I can come up with something that's worth a damn.
While I love British comedies on both the big and small screen, I don't watch near as many of them as I should. Partly because of time, partly because of laziness and partly because on some of them I can't understand a word they're saying. Although I did come to this post with a movie in mind I actually did some research as well to see where I would come out.
When I googgled "Best British Comedy Movies" the list was quite long. I browsed through it and went with my initial choice.
I don't remember exactly when I saw this movie but I do remember it being entertaining so I went with my first choice of the original "Bedazzled" with Peter Cook and Dudley Moore and oh yeah and RAQUEL WELCH at the her absolute hottest. I had to open a window after I watched this clip and it's only +1 outside. Yowzah!!
I often think that Dudley Moore doesn't get the credit he is due for being one of the finest comic actors of his time. I founnd him to be brilliant not to mention his musical ability as well.
Here's one more. My favorite part is the 2:03 mark. I watched it five times. Happy MCW.
