Random thoughts from the 44th state

Things that crossed my mind while I have nothing else to do. Unemployed.  On the soup line. Nobody knows the trouble I'm in, nobody knows my sorrow. Actually, the opening line I've had in my head for awhile now is, things that crossed my mind while wondering what the guy in "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" was in the joint for.  It was three long years and his gal waited for him.  What did he get busted for?  Break and entering? Petty larceny?  It's a good question.  I didn't google the answer, I'll leave that up to my devoted followers.

1) I need to change my heading to "Located 360 miles due south of the Center of the Universe" but don't think I have the skills on the new blogger.

2) As stated in Random thoughts #26, The Prodigy arranged a trip for us to go to Augusta and watch The Masters.  It was awesome.  The golf course is like none I've have ever seen.  The trip was fabulous.  I downloaded the Augusta weather and packed accordingly.  Unfortunately it was Augusta, Maine.  I bought a pair of souvenir shorts at the pro shop for $75 as I didn't pack any.  It was about $45 over my maximum for that type of apparel but it was also 88.  Stupid Iphone.

3) Been in Wyoming for just over a month.  No job yet but I had planned on taking the summer off anyway unless something shows up.  TP has a job for my in Sheridan to get me by for "walking around money" so that is my fall back.

4) I'm exhausted.  I spent the majority of the day in BRM's garage cleaning her tools.  She was married to a farmer who passed several years ago and the tools have been sitting since she sold the farm.  Soaked them in white vinegar and scrubbed the rust off.  Over 80 screwdrivers.  Then to make matters worse I chipped golf balls for two hours.  It's a rough life I'm leading.

5) Heading to Vegas tomorrow with BRM and her sister and brother-in-law to meet the third and final sister. Will have to bring my "A" game.  Was in Vegas in February while I was still employed and will be going back in June as me and the guys from Malta are having a gathering to celebrate all of us turning 50.  You all are invited as well.  Vegas in June should be splendid.  Probably only 100 or so.

6) Spending a day in Augusta was awesome.  It is a well oiled machine and the service is first rate.  Throughout the course of the day nature does call.  I entered the restroom.  One of the young men working there looked at me "Do you need a stall sir?" "Yes please" I replied. "One moment while I disinfect it for you."  He entered with a roll of paper towels and a spray bottle.  "Every patron gets a clean seat" he said.  That's service.  It's also probably an entry level position I'm guessing.

7) I can't figure out how to get pictures from my Ipad to post but am working on it. Apple technology is great but I do have my struggles.

8) I miss Bozeman.  Especially on Friday nights.  That's the big one.  Meeting the same people for Friday drinks for 15 years is a hard one.  Such great, wonderful people.  Devoted followers but better friends.

9) I don't want to talk about Boston right now only to say that I don't like the statements coming from the White House. A horrific act and my heart goes out to the victims.

10) I hurt my elbow moving.  I don't know what I did but it has a twinge of pain sometimes when I'm lifting something.  Fortunately it doesn't affect my golf swing so I can live with it.

11) I had to register my truck in Wyoming. It was hard removing my commerative MSU plates but I can always personalize my Wyoming plates for MSU.

12) BRM and I spent a week in Arizona visiting our mothers.  Played some golf.  My mother had not met her yet and her husband told me I "can quit fishing" so she must have made a good impression.

13) We live ten miles out in the country. It's awesome.  BRM kept a few acres and the house when she sold the farm to her son-in-law.  Peaceful.  It is drag when you need something and have to drive ten miles to town but it makes you plan better.

14) The Ipad is not my favorite for blogging.  It gets to the bottom of the page and I can't see what the hell I am typing.  Just a glitch I supposed but as my typing skills are limited it makes it difficult.  Have a great weekend.

Safe journeys,
Chip

Random thoughts #25

1) Yes I know I said I was on hiatus.  I guess I decided to say that because I was tired of making promises I wasn't keeping. It's not who I am. Rather than say "I'll be back" and not be, I decided to just quit and do it when I can. Maybe that is why I'm posting a bit more. Because I said I wouldn't. Who knows.

2) I talk too much. I'm a talker. Way overboard in that aspect. I admit it. That being said, if I say anything tonight that I've already said it's because I've become to dumb I can't remember if I've said it or not. However my subconscious takes over and I suppose that is why I may repeat myself. Because I think it's worth saying again.

Just getting by

Life is pretty good. I had a great talk with my mother. She is happy.

Work is good though there is still a challenge with the transition. Some people are still in the mold of the old company and I hope they get past that.

My sister bought a house and has moved out. I'm ecstatic for her and me. What was supposed to be a few month deal turned into two years. No bad words or ill feelings. I'll never do that. She found a nice deal. I'm happy for her. And me.

Golf season is just around the corner. Leaving Wednesday for St. George, Utah. A golf haven. Haven't swung a club since October but will hit some balls this weekend and be ready.

My youngest brother Pat turned 35 today. Hard to grasp. He has three great kids and my sis-in-law is the bomb. Happy for them.

I want to let you all know that I am ready you weekly. Though I might not comment, don't let that be a reflection. You are all putting out great posts.

Cheers.

Don't bug me when I'm eating

It’s a tough world.  The challenges of the new job are formidable but I’m still liking it very much.  Having worked for one man for 17 years and having free reign on almost everything I did, it’s a challenge to have, well, rules.  I don’t mind the rules it’s just that there are a lot of them and no real manual.  Still the cooperation I’m getting when I need it is good and helping me to succeed.

I drive to Williston, ND every other week.  475 miles one way and I only cross one state line. The crew here is in the same boat as I am. They are all new Titan employees as this location only opened in January.  The entire staff is great and they give my all the help I ask for.  There is also a former ABC employee here so that is a tremendous help as well.  All in all, good things.

Random thoughts #24

Things that crossed my mind while wondering if Ralph will ever admit I let him tie me in the alumni wrestling tournament. ( I could have crushed him, just for the record ).

1) I went to Salt Lake City to watch my beloved Bobcats play the Utes in both teams opening game.  The Cats gave up 17 quick points to the 28th ranked Utes and settled down to only lose 27-10.  This is game one of my "perfect season" with the Bobcats. I have every intention of being at every game.  As a season ticket holder the home games are a given. Every game is 6-7 hours driving distance from Bozeman with the exception of Portland State which I've take an extra day from work to drive to.  If you're a sports fan, keep track of this team. Something tells me this season is going to be special. That's why I'm going to every game.  I could be wrong and if I am, it will still be a great thing to do.

Friday thoughts

I really need a secretary to ride with me when I'm on the road.  Kind of like Van Wilder. "Write that down."  Honestly, my head is going 90 miles an hour when I'm driving.  So here's some stuff.

1) Why did Obama want to be president?  It's a "leadership" position.  He never voted as a state senator or as a US Senator. He is incapable of making a stand. Where I come from the term is "gutless".  I never thought I would wish for Hillary to be our leader.

2) If I saw Harry Reid in a bar or at a restaurant or on the steps of the Capitol Building, I'd challenge him to a boxing match.  They keep talking about how he was a boxer so that makes him a "fighter". All I see is a spineless wimp who would hide behind his wife in a home invasion.

Random thoughts about the election and American scene.

Had a couple of drinks with my friend Jon at The Mint here in Belgrade.  Our waitress/bartender has a husband who has served two tours in Iraq.   Jon asked to borrow $60 bucks from me as he was out of cash. I didn't ask why.  He's good for it.  He says " I'm going to buy her and her husband dinner for his service."  I told him I was in for half.  She was very touched.  Even better news.  She said she'd been offered a position at The Grantree where I stop every Friday.  Jessica, I look forward to seeing you there and thanks to your husband Nate for his service.

Things that crossed my mind while wondering how Barry and the media don't get it.

Random Thoughts #23

Things that crossed my mind while wondering if I should become a professional body builder.

1) I'm enumerating my thoughts because 14 is always my goal.  No one has figured out yet why 14 is the number and The Prodigy is exempt from participating.  Also, I'm usually a little Crowned up when I do these and I'm tire of trying to keep track.

2) Juan Williams was fired from NPR for saying what we all think.  The tolerance of liberals was shown again yesterday.  Just like the hyenas they are, they ate one of their own.

Just a couple thoughts and Bobcat pregame.

So yesterday I took my great friend EJ golfing for his birthday.  Long story short, he got me on a scramble team for the annual Sonny Holland Classic at Valley View Golf Club.  The irony is that I played on a team of guys who sit right behind me at Bobcat home games. We took second.  It was a great day.  Like EJ says "you only have to know one guy and that guy is me."  True words.

So I'm whipped.  Spent the night at EJ's house.  He cooked a great steak.  I spent most of the evening playing with his soon to be two-year-old daughter.  Drank some Crown and red wine and took advantage of his guest room. 5Wood made it as well.  Played the back nine with us and partook in the festivities.

Here are a couple of thoughts.

Random Thoughts #22

After a 13 1/2 hour day which did include a couple of good leads and a 520 mile stint behind the wheel, I'm safe and sound here at COTR headquarters.  No work for the rest of the week.  I've poured myself a nice glass of Crown Black and think some blogging is in order.

Sad news from the Center of the Universe.  An early morning fire broke out in Malta and took out a building on Front Street destroying five businesses.  As of this writing, there are no reports of injury which of course is great. The building can be replaced but the lives affected makes my heart heavy.  Saddest of all is that the building housed the local weekly paper, the Phillips County News.  I'm very saddened at the fact that over 100 years of archives were probably lost.  It's Malta.  While I'm sure that many years are on disc or stored electronically somewhere, I have no doubts that many original copies of the PCN are gone forever.  I'll update more when I have more information.

Things that crossed my mind while wondering how the Bobcats will stop Taiwan Jones this weekend.

When GW passed the tax cuts in 2003, liberals complained that they only benefitted the rich.  Now we see that everyone got a tax cut and that if these cuts expire, people making $50,000.00 a year will see their taxes go up $2,900.00 annually.  That's $241.66 that will come out of their paychecks every month. I guess to the liberals, a family making 50k a year is rich.

I need to get all the gibberish on my digital recorder put into writing.  I have the history of the first seven LBOH's recorded.  Trouble is that I don't have any more room until I have them transcribed.  Biggest problem is that when I'm driving down the road I have great random thoughts and when I sit down at my computer I can't remember any of them.  It sucks getting old.

Random Thoughts #21

Things that crossed my mind while wondering how I got to be so lucky.

Finished the LBOH this past week as you all know.  It's hard for me to describe this event.  I have the explanation of how it all started on digital audio.  How it came to be about, etc.  What's hard to describe is the friendship.  We've all had our "best friends" when we were growing up.  What I (we) have is truly different.  I'm not trying to denegrate anyone else's friendship here.  My only point is this, find me some guys who grew up together, or girls, who have met success, spread out across the country, and still make time to get together once a year to celebrate their friendship like we do. I'm talking from 1st grade through high school graduation and beyond.  I'm only bragging because I'm lucky enough to be in this group.  All the guys reading this are invited to next years LBOH.

When I've been drinking, which is almost every Friday, I get sentimental. I just love these fuckers.  Talked to Ralph tonight and Danny yesterday.  At our 20th class reunion, one of the girls in our class asked me how we have managed to stay so close after all these years.  I told her " We make the effort. I call Skeets and Ralph. They call Delm and Adrian. Ernie calls me and we always know whats going on with each other." Its a simple formula really.

Random 4th of July thoughts #20

Things that crossed my mind while being thankful I'm an American.

I just walked outside to get something out of my pickup and could smell the gunpowder from the fireworks.  I love America!!

There is almost no greater sound to me than hearing my brother's kids say anything that starts with "Uncle Chip........"  Its fucking awesome.

I like the new guy, Jessie, in Burn Notice. It's always hard to introduce a new character byt they've managed to do a great job.

Al Roker........YOU DA MAN!!!!!

Al Roker was in my fair city yesterday to do the weather and show what a great guy he is by donating more than $1.2 MILLION DOLLARS in items to one of the best charities around Eagle Mount.  I've linked an article in the local rag here.  Thank you Al. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I tried finding a video on youtube but I guess no one in Montana recorded it.  It is hard to put up a youtube with VHS.

Random Thoughts #19

Things that crossed my mind while wondering what is the big deal with the World Cup. I mean, I don't hate soccer but if like soccer and tell me baseball is boring, just go shoot yourself.  Just sayin.

We are raising an entire generation of young adults with absolutely no sense of work ethic or pride.   And when I say we, I mean people with kids.  I've worked with or hired too many of them in the last 10 years who expect to make $100k and get 5 weeks paid to load and unload equipment.  OK, that might be a stretch but they do expect a lot for little in return.  Too many parents are giving their children everything for nothing.  Fancy cars, paying for all of their college, etc.  Here's a hint.  You want to teach your kid how to work, get them a paper route.  Make them commit to working it for one year and thats all the money they get. No allowance, nothing from Gramma on their birthday.  Zero.  I guarandamntee they understand commitment to the job, attention to detail and financial responsibility after that year.  Then make them do it again just to prove the point further.  I'll take a paper route kid over one that worked for his dad at the family business any day of the week.

The LBOH is 29 days away.  29 days! 28 days til Ralph and I prefunction like the 1990's.  Uncle Scotty, you might want to think about waiting til Thursday to go to camp.  Might need a ride.  Ralph will need an IV drip of Coors Light and Spam.  STAT!!

OK, so I'm a little pissy tonight. I can get that way.  I'm combative and right almost always, just ask me.  If you have a different way of doing things it doesn't make me wrong, just different. Why is that so hard for some people to grasp.  I remember as a young cowboy, I was working at my best friend's ranch one weekend.  They didn't ride or gather cows the same way as I had been taught.  I told my ranch brother this.  He said "Did you get the herd worked alright"  I said "yes".  He said, "Just 'cause they do it different does it mean they do it wrong. They're pretty good cowboys over there." I've never forgot that.  It's gone a long way with me.

Sloan has been gone for four weeks and I'm still sad.  Do I need therapy?  I mean for this.  For everything else the answer is yes.  This I'll admit.

Crown Random Thoughts from Sloan.

(Written Friday 5/28/10)

So I'm safe at Casa de Sloan. Recently renamed for my beloved dog.  Still sad.  So here's some random thoughts that Sloan had while she was with me.

From Sloan's perspective.

He's an odd man to ride with.  Always talking while driving and there's no one here but me and I can't talk.  If I could, I'd tell him to shut up and watch the road for crying out loud.

He likes to fool me with treats when he leaves in the morning.  I'm no dummy.  I eat them and then I'm still pissed that he didn't take me with him.  Who does he think he's fooling and how dumb does he think I am?  I can't belive that I waited by the door for an hour thinking he'll come back and get me.  Then again, I do it every day so who is really the dumb one here. * sigh

I sleep a lot.  Not a little but a lot. It's great being a dog. Especially here. When I die, I want to come back as a dog for this guy.  Food, treats, swimming, riding in the cab of the truck.  This guy is awesome.

I have my own couch.  Did you here that? My own couch!  And I have my own chair in the garage.  You other dogs that don't get to crawl on the furniture don't know what you are missing. It's the bomb.

He has this thing where he thinks that if he yells loud I'll listen.  After 12 years you'd think he'd figure out that this is my world.  He's jsut living in it. Just sayin.  I mean, c'mon.  I only became deaf in the last few months but before that, it was just my way of saying go to hell.  No matter how much we walk or swim, it's never enough. I'll let you know when I'm tired.  Now, get me some food and watch that box thingy deal while I sleep.
I really can't bitch about things.  This guy has plenty of company over.  Lots of crotches to sniff.  It's who I am.

I'm a girls dog.  Always have been.  Love the ladies.  Despite how good he treats me, I want to be where the girls are.

He started taking me to this girls house.  He drops me off and then leaves.  It's pretty cool.  She waits on me hand and foot.  Has two cats that I couldn't care less about it.  They're cool but I get to sit in the office.  I also can go outside and wander around the place.  It's a sweet set up.  This could really work out for me.  Of course, he's kind of a dipshit.  I'd better enjoy this while I can before he screws this up and I don't get to come over anymore.

So tonight he came home and wants to pet me and scratch my butt.  I'll let him but I really want to go chase deer.  Just saying.

I've felt better but I'm a hundred years old!  Things don't work the way they used to.  Then again, I have three hots and a cot.

Well looks like I'm going on a road trip.  Better take it.  You never know when its going to be the last one.

Random thoughts #18

Things that crossed my mind while wondering how much it would cost to buy a Russian woman.

Somebody buy my house so I can move to Sheridan and schlep drinks for The Prodigy.  TP has a project he is getting underway and I'm ready for a change.  Need to sell my little townhouse before I go.  Somebody reading this wants to move here so cough up the dough and help a brother out.

I have 34 first cousins on my mom's side of the family and 25 on my dad's.  How many people can say they have 59 first cousins. Not counting Mormon's.  My cousin Pat (mom's side) is a grizzly fan.  Other than that he's good shit. He knows every cousin.  Where they are, what they are doing, how many kids they have and most of their names. Hi is the true "keeper of the flame" for our late grandparents.  Its remarkable.

Speaking of my cousins.  Pat's sister Mary is a doll. The youngest of four and the only girl, she is a good conservative, which separates her from the rest of the family.  At 5'0" she was an all-state basketball player.  She's funny and smart and I talk to her more than her brother.

My old dog turned 15 this month.  She's deaf now and it breaks my heart.  Her eye's don't twinkle when I ask her if she wants to go for a walk.  She has a look on her face that says "why won't you talk to me".  I hope she dies in her sleep.  The thought of having to put her down is hard for me to take.

I'm usually having a Crown when I'm writing my "random thoughts' and Wednesday night when I wrote this in my notebook was no exception.  When you read this post I'll be sober.  Probably.

Can someone in the blogoshere tell me how to copyright a story?  I'm working on a novella and don't want someone to steal a life story and sell it to ABC's Afterschool Special.

Playing cards in Billings Friday with Skeets, Delm, and Jimmy.  It will be fucking awesome! We've known each other for 42 years.  Thank you 21st century technology for letting us talk to each other almost every day.

Life is like a bunch of chocolates except there's no Crown in them.  So that sucks.

I would like to sneak into President Barry's teleprompter and change a speech. Put in a line something like "Eye em we Todd did.  Eye em sofa king we Todd did.  My dixie wrecked."  Good times.

If you want to look at liberal hypocrisy you need to look no further than Sarah Palin.  Whether you agree with her or not, she is smart, funny and pretty hot.  If she were a dumbocrat we would be hearing about how smart she is, like they did with Hillary.  The democrats do not have an answer for her so they vilify her at every turn.  They should be afraid.  She is more popular than any democrat on planet earth including the waste of skin in the Whitehouse.

I need to watch more TV.  No not really. I will say that "Human Target" and "Justified" are awesome.

Playing golf Saturday at the Laurel Country Club with Cheese. Told me he's hitting a faded three-wood off the first tee and will birdie the first two holes.  I told him he's full of shit.  The guy can't hit the "high butter." Can't.  It's not in his game. He'll be double-crossed pull hooking it into the tall trees.  I'm predicting a Tigeresque club throwing tantrum by whole humber five. It'll be nice to leave with some of his money in my pocket.  Me, well lets just say that I have a feeling that Doctor Fairway will be making a few calls at the Laurel Country Club.  I can see it now, Cheese blowing it by me by 30 yards, telling me to get my hands higher then him hitting a 90 yard approach shot right in the forehead and  40 yards over the green. Its a summer tradition.

Been going to the gym.  Its a good thing they expanded. Wouldn't want them to not have enough weights for me to throw around.  Get your tickets early ladies. Just sayin.

Random thoughts on healthcare

I'm not going to call this a live blog, but I am listening to the dog and pony show that is the "hearing" on healthcare reform. I'm taking notes so I can blog later.  Gotta feeling it's gonna be a long one.

Nancy Pelosi just came on so I had to mute the feed.  Her painted on face and grating voice are more than I can take.  Her husband had to marry her for the money.  How else could you wake up next to that every day unless you hate yourself. Yeesh.

Here's one of the many questions I have for any liberal who may stumble across this and can give me an answer.  How much money does Harry Reid stand to make on this bill?  I'm one hundred percent serious.  How much will he get?  Think about it this way.  Harry Reid is going to be defeated in November. The latest Rasmussen poll has him trailing four, yes four, Republican challengers. He is the Senate Majority leader.  That puts him in the top ten most powerful people in DC. Yet healthcare is going to cost him his job.  Sure, he gets to keep his retirement and all the other perks that these fucks get that the rest of us will never have, but he is going to lose his Senate seat over this.  He's not giving this seat up for the "good of the people".  He stands to pocket big money somewhere, otherwise he would scrap this.  I was going to type "be a man" but he's a liberal male politician so that would have been contradictory.

American's, including me, want health care reform.  We just don't want this bill.  It's simple.  There are many steps that can be taken first before we give the government control of our health care.

Anyone who thinks that this bill will reduce government spending and the deficit is to stupid to live.  Do us all a favor, walk into your bathroom, draw a tub full of water and hop in with your (insert favorite electric device here) and go meet your ancestors.

Ol Barry is speaking now.  How is it that people get weak kneed when this guy is talking?  All I ever hear is a pompous windbag who couldn't beat me in a game of Trivial Pursuit if he got to read the back of the cards first.

Lamar Alexander says the CBO claims that this plan will increase cost.  Barry says the CBO claims that this plan will decrease cost.  Hmmmmm.  That's a big difference.  Same report and opposite conclusions.  I know who I believe.

Tom Coburn of the great state of Oklahoma is up next.  You lucky Okies (Pam and Kym).  You get Coburn.  We have stuttering Max and the 300 pound crewcut.  I can't believe my fellow Montanans are so stupid to vote for these guys.  Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, to many out of staters have moved here.

Coburn saying we need to control the cost.  Cost is something that never crosses liberals minds.  Why should it?  It's not their money.

Much, much more after the jump.

Random thoughts #17

Things that crossed my mind while wondering what to cook BG for Valentines Day.  Here's the deal.  BG was going to go to DC to she her good friend Sixx and help plan Sixx's pending nuptials.  Bridal shower, white wine, cucumber sandwiches, the whole enchilada.  I had made no plans for V-Day. None.  I mean, I had all next week to find a place for dinner, buy flowers cheaper than they are now, everything.  Then Snowpocaplypse or whatever the wussies in DC are calling this snow storm, happened and flights were cancelled and now BG will be here this weekend.  I told her I was not prepared.  I know its Thursday and I have a couple of days, but I don't have a lot of ambition.  I spent the weekend with The Prodigy and Jimmy playing cards and drinking Crown Reserve (thanks Jim) and getting one year older so I'm not in the mood.

I do have an idea of what I will cook and it will be good (I'm pretty sure).  I'm not going to tip my hand as she is an occasional reader, but she is low maintenance so I am sure she'll be happy. But enough of my dilemma of the pending weekend holiday that was invented by Hallmark and FTD. On with the randomness.

Michelle Obama, beloved queen of our country, has made it her mission to fight childhood obesity.  She has demanded and received from her henpecked husband, 10 billion dollars (that we don't have) to help her in this quest to have children eat right. Now, having no children of my own makes it difficult for me to give advice on raising children.  However, it does occur to me that a child's eating habits might be the responsibility of, uh, lets say their parents.  Am I wrong to point a finger at parents who are letting their own children become unhealthy at such an early age? The answer to that question is no.  Here's a novel idea, lets take the 10 billion dollars and use it to feed kids who aren't getting enough to eat. Just sayin.

Barry wants to tell me who my doctor will be and now Queen Michelle wants to tell me what to eat.  How can Barry look anyone in the eye and say he is not a fascist?

The more I look at MSU's recruiting class for football, the more impressed I am.  However, if Coach Ash doesn't get these guys to the playoffs this year, he will feel the heat. Like being on the sun.  So will AD Fields.  It's going to be a lot of fun come September.

Joe Biden said last night on Larry King that Iraq will be one of the great achievements of this administration.  Doesnt he mean of Bush's administration.  How do people this stupid get into office?  There is not one, NOT ONE, democrat U.S. Senator that I would be afraid to debate on live national television.  Give me the subject and three weeks to prepare and I will absolutely bury any of them.  Oh yeah, throw in Obama as well.  I will have him so pissed off in the first five minutes that he will call me a motherfucker and have me thrown in jail indefinitely.  I have more knowledge, experience and charisma than 100 Obama's and I don't have much of any of those.

NASCAR starts this week.  If Jimmy wins again, I am going to boycott 2012.

More after the jump.

Random Thoughts #16

Things that crossed my mind while wondering how people can believe in global warming and not Bigfoot.

The message to most sane people is very clear. This health care package is a pile of dogshit.  It is nothing more than government control of 1/6 of the economy.  The question is: why is it so hard for democratic leadership to see that this bill is nothing that the people want?  The other question is: how stupid are the people who voted Pelosi, Reid et al in office?  Who is stupider? More stupid? Stupidest? Whatever.

President Obama hates success. Except his own.  He has done NOTHING with his life except try to take money from hard working people and give it to lazy people.  He is the absolute proof that an Ivy League education isn't worth as much as my collection of cribbage boards.

The significance of me having 14 songs on my playlist is because that is the number that Pete Rose wore when he played baseball.  Pete bet on baseball but never against the Reds. Was that right? Probably not.  Does he deserve to be in the Hall of Fame? Not according to the rules. This probably deserves and entire blog but Pete was his own worst enemy and is paying the price for that.  I will say this, find me someone in today's game who plays even half as hard as Rose played and I'll kiss your ass in front of the post office and give you a half hour to draw a crowd.

Pam in OKC was close when she said that she knew it had to do with sports.  She thought it was MY number.  God bless ya kid. You were on the right track.  For that, you are the winner and get to pick a playlist that I will post.  Give me 14-18 songs (in case I can't find some of them) and I'll dedicate my next Tuesday Tunes to you. Pam's on my "blogs I follow" list.  If you aren't reading her (or the rest of them) do yourself a favor and give her a read.

I dream in color.  Big, beautiful color.  When Bigfoot and me are fighting crime and being superheros, the villains blood spills red. When I'm having a dream where Bigfoot is chasing me, its still in color but not as much fun.

More after the jump.

Random thoughts #15

Things that crossed my mind while wondering if I will have any savings left at the end of 2010.
Al Gore claimed last week that 40% of the polar ice caps have melted.  Why haven't there been any increases in sea level?  I think we would have noticed.

The nice thing about 32 degrees above zero is that after almost ten days of below zeros temps, it really does feel warm.  I mean tropical.  I walked my beloved dog in a jacket tonight.  A spring jacket.  It's the little things that make you happy.

President Dipshi Obama said today at a Home Depot that winterizing your house "is sexy".  Two weeks ago I put a vapor barrier in my crawlspace, insulated my vents and put a barrier on all my windows. I'm as sexy as they come.  A Hunka Hunka if you get my drift.

I found a great deal on a snowmobile but will wait to see if health care slavery reform passes before I buy it.  Remember when I said that next year I would buy a sled, well I found the right one.  Please let this bill fail. God knows I don't ask for much.  In the event the bill does pass, I will accept any and all donations.

I've found that I am starting to like a beer every now and then.  I've been a whiskey and vodka guy for a lot of years and kind of lost my taste for beer but it's growing on me again.  If I could just find Olympia in a bottle, now that would be awesome.

I was going to grow my hair out like Einstein.  It's been over a month since I shaved it last.  At this rate I'll look like Big Al in about three years.  I've got nothing but time.

My office is a mess.

I've been asked if the last two poems were actually written by me. The answer is yes.  The Tiger tribute was a poem I stole from  William Blake. The Path is a pure original.  Sometimes the mood just strikes me.

I'm thinking about start a "Questions for MRM" segment.  Just email things you want to know and I will post them in what I hope to be will be a weekly segment.  Ask anything and ye shall be answered.

Speaking of Tiger Woods.  Yes, he is a complete philanderer and should have never been married but does he deserve more criticism from the press than Bill Clinton?  I mean Clinton was in a sexual harassment lawsuit and accused of rape.  The press vilified every woman who dared sully his name.  Women are coming out of the woodwork to say they slept with Tiger and no one is asking for proof.  Clinton said that this was between "his family and God" and every puke of a journalist let him have a free pass.  Nice to see a solid standard.

In this past Sunday's rag there was a front page story saying how reporters from the AP had gone through the stolen leaked documents from the liars scientists about global warming.  There relentless research showed no wrong doing and that everything was taken out of context.  I truly truly believe them. Now if they would just put that much energy into researching the health care bill, cap and trade, and the Copenhagen summit I might actually think they are doing the people some good.

I can't figure out how to make the "jump break" thing work and it is really pissing me off.
