Haiku Thursday - Summertime and the living is easy.

Skeeters buzzin thick,
Trafton Park, working the dish
Cold Buckhorn waiting

OH The good old days. I wish we were back at Trafton right now. I can almost hear Ken Cebulski yelling "Come on men, and Chipper"

The sunny slopes of long ago.

Skeeters - now there's a word you (I) don't hear to often. Reminds me of "there's a skeeter on my peter"...well, you know the rest. Have not tried the Buckhorn. Looks inviting though.

OOOOH! I didn't know about Buckhorn beer. Must investigate. Great haiku. Thanks for playing. But I think the whole thing will be falling apart soon.

Great one! It's MUCH easier to overlook pesky mosquitoes if the beer is really cold. I'll have to look for a Buckhorn brew.

Not sure I know the ditty of the skeetered peter but it sounds amusing.

I'm up at the Pond.

Good stuff. I have never heard of Buckhorn beer. In fact, I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I like that can!

My brother-in-law's nickname is Skeeter . . .

BK, skeeters were thick a couple of weeks ago.

Pam, its tough to keep the meme's going. I admire CT for keeping MM going as long as he did. You're doing a fab job though.

Fishy, I should probably write a story about us and our old softball days when we were nicknamed the "Buckhorn Bandits".

Moi, I'm not much of a beer drinker anymore either but back in the day.

Theeeeeeere's a skeeter on my peter
Beat it off
There's a skeeter on my peter
Beat it off
Theres a dozen on my cousin
I can hear the bastards buzzin
There's a skeeter on my peter
Beat is off.

Just to end all the curiousity of how the ditty goes. We're all adults here. Well, not counting me anyway.
