Al Roker was in my fair city yesterday to do the weather and show what a great guy he is by donating more than $1.2 MILLION DOLLARS in items to one of the best charities around Eagle Mount. I've linked an article in the local rag here. Thank you Al. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I tried finding a video on youtube but I guess no one in Montana recorded it. It is hard to put up a youtube with VHS.

VHS, Lol.
Actually I do it all the time. I use "video out" cables from the vcr with adaptors connecting to the "video in" of my digital camcorder, then I......Oh, nevermind.
Hef, you had me at "video out" cables.
I found the video on the Today Show website. There were actually a couple of them. Didn't even need a video out cable.
BTW - I don't think Al Roker came up with the money - a lot of locals (Murdochs Home and Ranch, for example) gave quite a bit, together with their neighbors who gave them 4 acres of adjoining land, to go with the 5 acres which will be purchased using part of the gift. It's a great organization, and many of the volunteers are MSU students.
I know Al didn't come up with it, but he's a driving force when he picks your charity as far as organizing, etc. Tom Brokaw is a tight ass. He gave a horse? You have enough money to give 10 nice, gentle horses.
