MCW "Favorite Foreign Actress"
I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and or Hanuka. I'm ready to kick off the New Year with a blog party at Boxer's place this Friday night. Until then, we have the last MCW of 2010 to finish up.
You all know that Boxer is the creator of this meme. Preferred clip length is around three minutes but it's not cast in stone. When it's up on your blog, come here and let us all know.
When I had favorite foreign actor as a theme way back in the long ago, more than one person said that it was a stretch to consider Michael J. Fox a foreigner, or as Aunty may refer to them a "ferrener" (not close aI know).
This week I went with an actress that was actually from across the Atlantic to she is definately foreign. So smart, funny and beautiful. She'd have me wrapped around her finger until I left the earth. She's gone by many names. Sabrina, Eliza and Holly among others. To me she is just the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on. I think the thing I admired most about Audrey Hepburn was the fact that she really seemed sincere and genuine in real life. Like making movies was just this thing she did so that she could give back the world all the wonderful things it had given her. I don't have a lot of respect for Hollywood but I remember being sad when I heard the announcement of her passing.
Take a long look you current Hollywood starlets. It would take far too many of you to count to match the pure beauty and elegance of this one women. Both on screen and off. Happy MCW.

Screwed up auto-post again. Note to self: when you re-read it goes to draft if you don't tell it to auto post. Got it? Got it!

Hey Madman,
Can't go Past Audrey. Sublime...
I'm up at the palais.
Christmas was great!
Are you snowed in yet?
I'm sweating my butt off here...
I was once told I looked like that Hepburn actress - Im hoping they meant Audrey but I suspect it was probably Katherine. Of course, she's not foreign to me but, like Jean Simmonds, she's one of those actresses who was a mainstay of my childhood because she was just so easy on the eye.
Great choice and Im up with another easy on the eye foreigner.
Didn't know she was a furriner. I liked "Wait until Dark" if that was her.
Great choice. One of the grand dames of the 60s and 70s and a very classy lady. I liked her in her later years in Robin and Marian.
I'm up at the Buzzkill this weekk with a hot tamale.
I'll be around tonight to visit everyone.
Happy MCW and New Year!
Joanna - Everyone always remembers the On Golden Pond Hepburn, but in her day, Kathrine Hepburn was really beautiful.
I have seen every movie she has ever made at least twice. Love her. A classier actress has yet to exist.
I'm UP with another hot tamale.
Princess,
Not snowed in yet but its a coming.
JC,
See Buzz's comments.
Troll,
I think I read that she was born in Belgium. Where Walloons come from.
Buzz,
Sometimes I get it right.
Moi,
As I say to anyone who will listen "do you know anyone like her? Can we get introduced?"
Good morning MRM,
She was great. Eliza Doolittle was my favorite role of hers.
I'm up with an Irish beauty.
LOVE her. Everything about her. Great pick and thanks for being such a great host. Even though I started this whole thing YOU have been hosting far longer than I ever did. If you're still OK with being the Host, I'd love to hand it over. Just let me know.
And.... waiting for that picture....
Karl,
Can hardly wait to check out the Irish babe.
Boxer,
I'm fine being the host. I said I have a goal and when we get to it, we'll talk. Picture? Ooooh, that picture.
