Another show you should be watching.

Episodes is a new sitcom on Showtime.  It's about a couple of British writers who come to America with at the behest of some Hollywood schmuck to have their hit series on American television.  The Hollywood guy of course bastardizes the entire series.  It's really a very satirical look at Hollywood and how completely phony it is.

It stars Matt LeBlanc, Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig.  LeBlanc plays himself and Mangan and Greig play the husband/wife team of British writers.  If you follow the link above, you can watch the first three episodes for free.

I'm gonna come right out and say it.  Tamsin Greig does something for me.  She is simply beautiful and that accent drives me nuts.  Something about British women and the way the talk.  Russians and Aussies do it for me a little but not like the British.  Irish chicks are up there too.  Anyway.  Give it a watch.

Now, I'm off to get a lock of Tamsin's hair.  I heard the Chinese are close to human cloning,

Tamsin Greig, making the short list.

Oh I have seen a commercial for this show, didn't realize it was on Showtime. I better figure out how to get that channel or this series. Sounds like our kind of show. There is one that sounds similar we caught while across the pond, and I heard it was on HBO here, about a couple of guys from New Zealand who were in NYC doing a similar kind of set-up. It was hysterical. Always meant to track that down too.

Yeah, I've seen the first 3 episodes and it's pretty funny. Matt LeBlanc is hysterical - as himself.

Showtime and Starz have been putting together some really good series this year. Spartacus, Dexter, Nurse Jackie and even Shameless are all watchable.

Pam,
The language can be quite, shall we say, coarse? But the humor is good. As Buzz points out, LeBlanc is quite funny.

Buzz,
I just started getting Showtime and Starz on a 3 month free trial but will probably keep them. Now that the truck is paid off I can swing an extra couple bucks.

My buddy in Sheridan watches "Pornicus" and I caught an episode the other day. I also really like Dexter. Haven't checked out Nurse Jackie or Shameless yet.

Love, love, love, love LOVE this show. Whoda thunk Matt LeBlanc could be so appealing? So funny?

I'm a sucker for a brilliantly inflected British accent myself, although the husband does nothing for me: too bug-eyed and wishy-washy. But a dude version of Tamsin would do quite nicely.

Hope you can play Haiku Monday this week. Hosting at my place. Theme is PERFUME. Write as many as you want, but I'll be judging only one (be sure to indicate which that will be.)

Moi, I will be there!! I'm already working on my winning entry. You will like it especially after the comments you made to me at Troll's. That's called foreshadowing.
