A little smorgassbord.

Here are some links you may find enjoyable.

First, from Kissing Suzy Kolber here is  a nice bit of sarcasm from one of the guys pretending to be Jason Whitlock.  The jurty is still out for me with Whitlock.  I used to watch him on ESPN's Sports Reporters back in the day and liked him on that.  He always put Frodo Mike Lupica in his place.  His articles can be edgy but like all journalists he can fall in love with the sound of his own voice or keyboard as it were.  I'm so glad I'm not like that. Humility, it's my middle name. You can read an actual Whitlock here.  The guys at KSK are very funny but they're writing is rated "R".  You've been warned.

This article from Politco discusses the chances of Jon Huntsman running for the GOP nomination for President in 2012.  If you're like me, you've never really heard of this dude before.  He's a two-time governnor of Utah, a Mormon and an Obama appointee to China as our ambassador.  He's very much a moderate and supported John McCain in the last election.  There is so much wrong with this guy to me intitially that I'm definately cautious in him running.  Didn't we just have a politically weak-spined moderate running in the last election?  I don't know if there are any names be touted right now that I will support but this guy has nothing really appealing to me intitially.  I do have one question though.  Why is it then when Repbulicans run for office, their religion matters but when Democrats run it doesn't?  This guy is a Mormon.  I don't have a problem with it and neither should anyone else.  If Obama's faith (or lack thereof) can't be questioned, and really wasn't, then what difference does it make if a LDS guy runs?  I can promise you this, if a Muslim ran for President, the press would CELBRATE like there was no tomorrow, credentials be damned.  They would tell America it was time to elect a Muslim President, and say it would be a great way for us to show our "diversity" and that we are moving forward as a country.  Hmmm. Seems to me I heard a similar story a couple of years ago.

Here's a piece from NPR letting us know what Jimmy Carter thinks about the situation in Egypt (which is very frightening to say the least, the situation over there, oh, I guess Carter as well).  You may remember that Carter is widely regarded as the worst president in history.  He gave us miles gas lines, double-digit unemployment, huge inflation and the highest interest rates of the last 50 years.  One thing that most people forget is that Carter is the main reason that the Ayatollah rose to power in Iran.  We all know how that turned out.  Now a very similar situation is happening in Egypt and the current president is handling the situation as poorly as the man to whom he is most often compared.  Looks like the title of "worst President in US history" is something that Barry covets.

The Huffington Post (YES, that Huffington Post) has this cool  compilation of Hollywood spit takes.  It's for the ligther side. Rated R for language and strong sexual references.

Lastly, this article from the American Spectator is a great expose on the impractibility of electric cars.  Here's something that liberals need to remember about electric cars.  They run on electricity.  What liberals don't realize is that electricity comes from great big things called generators and almost half of those generators are fired by a product called coal.  It takes a lot of wind turbines to produce what coal does. Just let them know that and then see what they say.  It's a party waiting to happen.

It matters to me. I don't want a Mormon nominee for several reasons. And wouldn't want Huntsman even if he was a Christian.

You ever going to visit the Troll Stroll again?
