You conveniently failed to mention ND had won the past 43 straight vs Navy before last year. 43 (now 44-1)is a record most would take. Jump on the one loss in 43 years takes some originality!. Kind of fun, I guess.

Join a Conference, share some revenue, and play a Division I schedule. This Navy win will warm my heart for at least the next 50 years! It's okay, hold on to what ya have, they almost blew this one too!

JT, so, you're proud of that scholarship athletes had won 43 straight against men training to protect this country?

Jumping on the one loss takes far more originality than the bragging about 43-1.

You haven't won a bowl game since Moby Dick was a minnow, don't play in a conference in football and if Navy had a QB 1/2 as good as the douch throwing the ball at ND, it would be two in a row for the Mid-shipmen. Enjoy being 7-6 for the rest of the Weiss era.

BTW, pouring Gatorade on Fatboy, now THATS original.

Here is what I'm proud of: The second highest winning percentage among BCS teams, the most national championships, the most Heisman winners, the most All-Americans, the most Hall of Famers, plus one of the highest graduation rates and highest GPA's, and the most years with the toughest schedule in the country. Everyone who knows anything about college football understands things go in cycles, which evidentily explains your obvious pent up glee. Enjoy it while you can, and BTW, GO IRISH!

Yes, well, fine accomplishments all, but we live in the now on this fledgling little blog.

While the academic record of ND is hard to argue, their record is. They have only played in 27 bowls, thus, while other schools risked the record in the first 3/4 of the century, ND sat on their hands, afraid.

When you say most years with the toughest schedule, that is always been according to ND (67th this year BTW, that means that 66 teams had tougher schedules). Tell me how playing virtually the same schedule every year is tough when more than 1/2 the schools aren't going to have winning records.

Everyone who knows anything about college football knows that the only time ND has been relevant since 1978 was when Holtz coached them.

They've lost their last 8 bowl games in a row by an average of over 14 points. They will lose at least one more game before season's end and will lose in whichever bowl they play.

No one wants to coach there (see Meyer, Urban) and no one wants to play there anymore.

Face it, they are a second tier program at best and I will be enjoying them be that for a long, long time.

Here's something else for you JT, ND alum are already restless with Jabba and his coaching job. One more season of no more than 6 or 7 wins and his is gone.

Thanks for reading though, we do appreciate it. Go Orange!

The shockingly misguided thoughts about a certain mid-western University's football team aside, the fledgling little blog is outstanding. You are very clever fellows. I enjoy it very much and wish you the best. Stay with it(with the obvious exception of certain sections) and best of luck to the Cats this weekend.

Thanks JT. We will do our best. Sometime I will give you the entire story of why I root against the Irish. Suffice it to say that I'm the only Catholic I know that does so that should tell you how misguided I am.

Perhaps too many rap's on one's knuckles from the good Sisters of Charity? Whatever it is, as a good Catholic fellow myself, I'd like to hear the story sometime. Looking forward to a great college football weekend!
